My Tribute to Sidharthan Anna!
You encouraged me greatly during your time as Librarian at the MMBA Association. Whenever we met, your first question was always about my academic progress and professional life. That genuine concern meant the world to me and remains etched deeply in my heart. You shared so many insights on the ideology of Thanthai Periyar with me. I have always admired your profound concern for the affected and the downtrodden, and your remarkable service—both as a private Advocate and as a Government Advocate.
One memory stands out as a perfect example of your character. I recall when I was arguing before Justice Kumaresh Babu for alternative employment for a petitioner disqualified on medical grounds. You informed the Judge that you would take steps to ensure this employment—and you did. Rather than opposing, you extended assistance to the needy person. Such qualities are rare, Anna.
I miss you deeply, Anna.
With heartfelt grief and cherished memories,
R. Karunanidhi
